The Maximilien Park Farm is an urban animated farm that has been in existence since 1989.

Before that, it was a railway station and a heliport before taking on the form we know today. Its many alterations and urban adaptation to its current form make it an important cultural heritage site for the northern district of Brussels.
Its main missions are to raise awareness and educate people about the environment. It does this by organising ecological events for the general public, offering an unusual space for biodiversity in the heart of the city.
These activities go hand in hand with greater environmental awareness: organisation of sustainable events, community vegetable gardens, waste water treatment, renewable energy, waste treatment, various composting methods, low-tech environmental innovation laboratory, etc.
In addition to its educational aspect, the Ferme du parc Maximilien is an important bastion of cultural initiatives for its neighbourhood and a genuine place of social cohesion through the creation of new partnerships and the heterogeneity of its audiences.
